Room 11 Room 11 is for children ages 3-4. There is a bathroom in the classroom with child size equipment. This classroom is equipped with an intercom directly linked to the office for your child's safety. Children in this room use the older toddlers playground.
In this room, skills are taught by hands-on, multi-sensory activities allowing children to make sense of their environment through play and meaningful experiences they can relate to and understand. Curiosity is a strong motivation to learn during the early years so activities are planned to foster and satisfy their curiosity. Weekly themes are coordinated and incorporated into into daily activities. In this age group, teachers emphasize extensive language skills (sentence forming), extensive motor development and coordination, exploratory learning with structure and rules, building social and self-help skills, independence and creativity, interactive and imaginative play, body awareness and naming body parts. Parents must provide the following: -a sheet and blanket -several changes of clothes |
