Room 4 - Pre-K!!

    Room 4 is for children ages 4-5. Children must be 4 by September 30th of each year to qualify for Prekindergarten.  It is one of the two pre-k classrooms here at Parkdale. Teachers in this classroom will prepare your child for kindergarten by working on pre-math problems, reading skills, visual and auditory perception, memory skills, expanding gross and fine motor skills, computer skills and memory skills. Kids also participate in creative art, role playing and music activities. There is an evaluation for kindergarten readiness at the end of each school year.  Curriculum used is Webbing into Literacy which involves a book a week and a rhyme a week along with sight words.  Children are PALS tested in early fall and early spring.
    Parent must provide a sheet and a blanket as well as a change of clothing.
